The Nanoionics and Electronics Lab
We study ions at interfaces, and design clever ways to position them where they can have the most impact on the electrical and optical properties of materials.
About the Nanoionics and Electronics Lab
We use ions as an active device component that makes possible new electronic devices with functionalities that cannot be achieved using conventional materials. Examples include a monolayer electrolyte for non-volatile memory, an ionomer that induces the semiconductor to metal phase transition, and electric-field sensitive electrolytes for hardware security.
