Nader Sawtarie joined the Fullerton lab in Fall 2020 as a first year Ph.D. student at the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University, and his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Toledo in 2016. He worked for Pilkington North America in R&D as a lab manager. Nader’s current research involves using ions for charge modulation in 2D metals to explore their unique and novel properties. Outside of lab, he enjoys reading, running, playing piano, skiing and golfing. Nader is also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
