Ke Xu

Ke Xu was a visiting research assistant professor at Pitt from 2015 – 2021 and is now an Assistant Professor of Microsystems Engineering and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago.  In graduate school he worked on electrochemical and optical detection of ions using graphene- and DNA aptamer-based biosensors. His current research interests include 2D nanoelectronic devices and ion doping for low voltage electronic devices. In his spare time, Ke enjoys traveling, sports, and hanging out with family and friends.
